To
begin the registration process, please visit www.netregister.biz. Enter the domain
name you are interested in registering in the "www." field. Click the "Click"
button to continue.
If the domain name you want to register is available,
you will be guided through the rest of the registration process, and will be prompted
to provide administrative and organizational contact and billing information.
What
are the valid characters for a domain name and how long can it be ?
The
only valid characters for a domain name are letters, numbers and a hyphen "-".
Other special characters like the underscore "_" or then exclamation mark "!"
are not permitted.
A domain name can be up to 63 characters long, plus
the characters used to identify the Top Level Domain (.com, .biz, .info, .net,
.org). Do not type the www. before your domain name when registering.
I
only wanted to register my domain name for one year, but your page defaulted my
registration to two years. Can I get rid of the extra year ?
Once you have registered
your domain name for a specified registration term, you cannot change the registration
term.
NetRegister adheres to a no refund policy on all registered domain
names. This includes all fees in whole or in part, even if your domain name registration
is suspended, cancelled or transferred prior to the end of your current registration
term. This policy agreement can be found at http://netregister.biz/contratto.htm.
All customers requesting to use NetRegister's domain name registration services
are bound by this agreement.
If you registered your domain name for
a term that is longer than you had intended, you will contract the domain name
for use for the duration of that period.
I
do not have a VAT-number. Can I still register a domain name .COM ?
Yes, also individuals
can register a "generic" TLD domain name. Both individuals and owners of a VAT-number
can register an unlimited number of domain names. This applies also for .BIZ and
.INFO Domain Names.
How
long does the domain registration take paying by credit card ?
The domain registration
will be active on the real time.
How
many domains can I register in my name ?
Domains .com, .org and
.net can be registered without any limits.
Who
is the legal registrant of a domain name ?
The
"registrant" of a domain name is the original administrative contact listed at
the time of registration unless the registrant has been changed pursuant to a
formal transfer of registrant request. Changes in the administrative contact without
such formal transfer of registrant request will be visible in the WHOIS record,
however, this information may not be that of the actual registrant of the domain
name.
What
is a registrar ?
A registrar is an
organization or company that is either authorized by ICANN (the Internet Corporation
for Assigned Names & Numbers, an organization dedicated to Internet governance)
to provide registration services for the .com, .net, .org, .biz and .info global
top-level domain names, or is authorized by its respective government to register
domain names within a specific TLD (domain name extension). A registrar must also
be authorized by the registry of a Top Level Domain to act as an agent of the
registry to process domain name registrations, where the agent is not a reseller.
The registrar is also responsible for creating and maintaining a WHOIS database
for its customers.

How
does a Transfer of Registrar work ?
You can initiate
a Transfer of Registrar request by submitting your request online.
Once NetRegister has received your transfer request, a confirmation email message
will be sent to the administrative contact email address on file with the current
registrar for the domain name to confirm the intention to transfer. Additionally,
a notification will be sent to all other contacts associated with the registration.
Once the request has been confirmed, NetRegister processes the transfer request
by contacting the Registry - which will notify the current registrar of this transfer
request.
The transfer process may take approximately 5 - 10 calendar
days to be completed, at which time you will receive a notification email from
NetRegister.
What
are the guidelines for transferring registrars of a domain name ?
- Only
.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .it, .at, .uk, .de, .es domain name registrations
can be transferred to NetRegister.
- Your
domain name must have been registered for at least 60 days with your current registrar.
- You must have access to the administrative
contact email address on file for the domain name. During the transfer
process, you will be required to confirm the transfer request via email.
The confirmation message will be sent to the administrative contact email address
on file with the current registrar for the domain name; if you do not have access
to this email address, please contact your current registrar for information on
changing it before initiating a Transfer of Registrar request.
- The
domain name(s) undergoing the Transfer of Registrar cannot currently be involved

What
information do I need in order to initiate a registrar transfer for my domain
name registration to NetRegister ?
In order to transfer
the registrar for your domain name, you will need a valid credit card and access
to the administrative contact email address on file for the domain name with the

I
am already a NetRegister customer; can I add a domain name to my existing workgroup
account if I transfer my domain name registration to NetRegister ?
If you already have
a NetRegister workgroup account (user name and password), you may add the domain
name(s) being transferred to the existing workgroup by logging in as an existing
user when completing the online transfer form.
After
I have initiated my request to transfer registrars for my domain name, how long
does the process take ?
Once you have initiated
and confirmed the Transfer of Registrar, the transfer process takes approximately
5 - 10 calendar days to be completed.
Can
a Transfer of Registrar request be rejected ?
The losing registrar
has the ability to reject a domain name transfer request that is initiated by
NetRegister in the following situations: - The transfer request was initiated
within the first 60 days of the original registration date
- There is a dispute
over the domain name
- There is a pending bankruptcy of the domain name holder
- There is a dispute over the identity of the domain name holder
- At the
discretion of the losing registrar
You will be notified via email in the
event that your domain name cannot be transferred due to one of these reasons.
Do
I need to own or register a DNS (Domain Name Server) ?
You do not need
to own or register your own DNS (Domain Name Server) in order to register a domain
name or to sign up for Email or Web hosting Services.
How
long does it take for changes to DNS information submitted through Domain Manager
to take effect ?
DNS changes take
up to 72 hours for your DNS changes to be effective across the Internet.
How
will I know when my domain name registration is up for renewal ?
You don't have to
wait for your domain name registration to expire before you renew it. You
can extend the term of your domain name registration at any time by clicking on
the Renewal link in NetRegister's Control Panel.
In order to ensure that our customers' online identities are protected, NetRegister
will send you a notification email 60/45/30/15/5/4/3/2/1 days before your current
domain name registration term is set to expire. Additionally, you can check
the expiration date(s) of your domain name registration(s) through domain Control
Panel, which is located here.
Can
I renew my domain name, which was originally registered through Network Solutions,
Inc., through NetRegister ?
Yes,
if you have registered your domain name through Network Solutions, Inc. or any
other domain name registrar, you can easily transfer and renew your domain name
online through NetRegister's automated Transfer of
Registrar process.
How
much time does it take from the beginning of the registration process till the
effective registration of the domain name you requested ?
For generic Top
Level Domain Names the registration is effective as soon as NetRegister receives
the realtime payment guarantee from your part.
How
much does it cost to transfer the registrar for my domain name ?
To transfer the
name and extend your domain name registration by one year, the fee is 15 euro.
How
do I transfer registrant of a domain name registered through NetRegister ?

to access the appropriate form, which includes complete instructions on what needs
to be submitted before NetRegister can process the Transfer of Registrant request
for your domain name.
Note: This form can only be used to Transfer
Registrant for domain names that have NetRegister listed as the registrar.
Why
would I need to transfer registrant of a domain name ?
In
the event that you would like to transfer, buy or sell a domain name, the only
way to legally change the registrant information on file for the domain name is
to undergo an official Transfer of Registrant with the registrar for the domain
name.
How
much does it cost to transfer registrant of a domain name and which registrant
is responsible for the fee ?
The fee for transferring
the registrant of a domain name is 15 euro, which can be paid for by the current
registrant, the prospective (new) registrant, or a third party. However, the prospective
(new) registrant is held responsible for the fee, if it is not paid.
The remainder of the existing registration term is then transferred to the new
registrant.
Who
negotiates the terms of transferring registrant between the current registrant
and the new registrant ?
The terms for transferring
a domain name (i.e., transferring registrant) are to be negotiated and agreed
upon by the current registrant and the prospective registrant. NetRegister does
not mediate such agreements.
Will
changing the administrative contact and/or organizational contact information
listed for my domain name change registrant of the domain name ?
No, the only way
to legally change the registrant of a domain name is to undergo a formal Transfer
of Registrant. Go to Documents to access the
appropriate form, which includes complete instructions on what needs to be submitted
before NetRegister can process the Transfer of Registrant request for your domain
name.
I
am no longer interested in my .com, .net, .org domain: how can I delete it?
It is NOT possible to delete these domains, you have to wait until they
expire.
How
can I find out who has already registered a given domain?
If you want to know who is already registered with NetRegister, just visit our
home page and enter the domain name, as if you were trying to register
it. If the domain is already taken, you'll be able to see to whom it belongs via
the WHOIS option: "Click here to know who the domain has been assigned to"
